Heee-ooooo

It's been one week since Julian's parents have arrived, and they haven't yet run away - hooray! Nadia and Adele are enjoying their grandparents, and the grandparents are most certainly smitten with the wee ones. Julian and I are once again happy to have family here with us :)

Adele and Nadia have a new trick: they say 'hello'. Rather, it sounds more like, 'heee-oooo'. Ever since the girls could focus they have been watching our mouths as we talk with them, and then moving their mouths in mimic. Sometimes they would make noise, but other times not. They started cooing at about 4 weeks old. And 4 weeks later they've mastered their first word... well, at least taken a very good stab at it! If I say 'hello' to them and they are in the talking mood, then a concentrated look will appear on either girls' face and out will come 'heeeee-ooooo'. It's too cute! I was worried that they would be late talkers due to the fact that sometimes twins are too busy with their own language to bother communicating with other people in English... let's hope Adele and Nadia continue their penchant for the English language!
